Barcelona fans annoyed with proposed shirt for next season

The fans of Spanish club Barcelona are annoyed at the
shirt designed by sportswear giant Nike for their team for next
season.
Catalan daily Sport revealed on Tuesday that Nike, who have been
Barca's designers since 1998, have proposed for next season, as the
team's home kit, a shirt with red and blue horizontal stripes rather
than Barca's traditional vertical stripes.
An online poll taken by Sport showed, on Thursday, 81 per cent of
readers opposed to the new design. The paper's headline was "A Shirt
Which Divides."
Meanwhile, a similar poll taken by Mundo Deportivo showed 80 per cent
of readers opposed.
"This is more like a rugby than a football shirt," commented Catalan
radio station RAC-1. "The traditions of the club should be respected.
The board of directors should tell Nike to come up with a better
design."
